Amy has launched several programs that take into account best practices, as well as particular institutional cultures, participant demographics, and geographical location. The evaluation data of these programs have demonstrated their impact, and she has secured funding and developed key partnerships for program expansion.
Amy has an uncanny ability to combine social change theory and real-world practice in truly compelling ways. For five years at the University of Chicago, I saw first-hand how Amy inspired legions of students, created innovative programs, and transformed relationships with community stakeholders. Best of all, she did it with integrity, smarts, enthusiasm and a warm, infectious spirit.
Amy has been thoughtful in planning with the needs of her higher education students and of the nonprofit agencies in mind. She is brilliant, responsive, and very passionate about student civic engagement and inspiring future generations – that is clear through her sincerity and excitement for any of her ventures.
